The Upland Bapist Church will be having Grocery Bingo in the Chapel starting at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Games are 25 cents a card or 5 for $1.00. The special games will be 50 cents a card or 3 for a $1.00, per game. Refreshments will also be served and Door Prizes!

Soup & Salad Dinner

The “Community Affairs Committee” will hold a “Soup & Salad Dinner” fundraiser on Saturday, February 25th 2012 at MacQueen Hall. Homemade chicken & dumplings, vegetable soup, chili – salad bar, dessert and drink will be available for All-U-Can-Eat at MacQueen Hall from 4:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. Cost: $8 Adults, $6 Seniors and $4 Kids under 12. Tickets are available at the Borough Office. All proceeds fund the “Community Affairs Committee”.

All Upland Borough Senior Citizens – FREE Luncheon

To Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the “Community Affairs Committee” will hold a FREE Ham & Cabbage with potatoes luncheon for ALL Upland Borough Senior Citizens at MacQueen Hall starting at noon.

The “Annual Easter Egg Hunt” for Borough Children will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Ball Field (Bristol Lord Field) located at 6th & Main Streets. The event is sponsored by: Upland Fire Company, Upland Athletic Club, Upland Borough Council and Upland Marine Corp.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

“Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” will be held in MacQueen Hall (located at 224 Castle Avenue, Upland) between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The menu is:

• Pancakes
• Scrambled Eggs
• Sausage
• Hash Browns
• Beverages (Milk, Chocolate Milk, Orange Juice, Coffee and Tea)

The cost: Adults – $5.00 and Children (12 and under) – $3.00.  Pictures will be taken with the Easter Bunny – $3.00.  All proceeds fund “The Community Affairs Committee”.

The parade will start at Upland Baptist Church on Monday, May 28th 2012 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at the War Memorial located at Bristol Lord Field (6th & Main Streets).

Annual Memorial Day Picnic In The Park

The annual Memorial Day Picnic sponsored by Resurrection Life Church and Upland Baptist Church will be held in Bristol Lord Field at 6th & Main Streets following the Memorial Day Parade. Join us for FREE hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, chips, drinks, desserts and face painting.

Annual July 4th Celebration

The “Annual July 4th Festivities” for Upland Borough residents will start at 11:00 a.m. in Bristol Lord Field (located at 6th & Main Streets). Please note that you must have a wristband to participate. Wristbands are available at Borough Hall and/or the day of the event, with proof of residence.

Please join us for FREE hot dogs, chips, soft pretzels, water ice, candy and drinks! Entertainment will include a DJ, Face Painting and games (moon-bounces & pony rides)!

“Annual Blue Rocks Game”

5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

The “Community Affairs Committee” will be sponsoring a FREE trip to a Blue Rocks Game for borough youth between the ages of 8-15. Must sign-up by July 30th! The game will include an all-you-can-eat buffet which includes hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips, watermelon, soft drinks and fireworks!

The Church Street Thrift Shop – Resurrection Life Church

Open the 1st & 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
(Closed July & August)

The shop’s purpose is to provide residents of the local communities with a convenient and caring place to purchase good quality used items at a reasonable cost. These items include clothing for all ages, toys, books, holiday and household items. Proceeds benefit RLC’s Community Outreach Programs and Building Fund projects.
