Benjamin F. Pretty reported the policeman unfit for duty on Saturday August 2nd. Mr. Pretty stated further that he had repeatedly admonished Dalton for previous neglect of duty. After some discussion it was agreed On Motion that the Policeman be suspended for one week.

The Council then proceeded in the election of a Tax Collector there were 3 applicants (via) S. J. Compton, B. F. Pretty and R. Crowther. R. Crowther received a majority of the votes.
and on December 2nd in which:
On Motion that Mr. Marshall act as Police Commissioner during Mr. Jarman’s sickness.

Mr. Pretty moved that a light be placed on the street about the cooperative store that a new lamp be placed on the bridge at the brick mill and that the lamp in front of his store be removed to the corner of Kerlin St. Agreed to.

A temporary organization was effected by calling R.H. Crozer to the chair and appointing M.P. Hannum Secy, after which Council was permanently organized for the ensuing year by the unanimous selection of R.H. Crozer, Esq for president and M.P. Hannum Secy.

An ordinance was enacted to prevent the spread of Small Pox.
During the September 19th meeting:
An ordinance was passed relating to wagons loaded with gunpowder and other explosive substances passing through the Borough.

S.A. Crozer was qualified as Chief Burgess for one year. Michael Leach and B. Crowther on the 3rd of April, and Wm. Band, J.L. Crozer and James Sample on the 7th, as Councilmen for one year.
During the October 3rd meeting:
Mr. Sample moved that the election for borough officers be held on the first Monday in April of each year and in the Reading Room, as originally provided by the borough Charter.

A temporary organization was effected by calling Robert H. Crozer to preside and B. Crowther Secretary. The oath of affirmation of Councilmen elect, T.B. Jarman, J. Wm Lewis, Robert H. Crozer and B. Crowther was presented and read. T. B. Jarman was elected permanent President and B. Crowther Secretary.
During the May 3rd meeting:
J. L. Crozer councilman elect was duly qualified before Daly Compton Justice of Peace.
