State of Emergency —Snow

  • Dear Residents of the Borough of Upland,
“Effective from 6 AM Tuesday, March 14th to 8 PM Tuesday evening, Mayor Michael J. Ciach has declared a snow emergency for the Borough of Upland anticipating the arrival of winter storm Stella that could potentially drop 8-12 inches of snow to our area or more. The heavy snow could make many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. We are requiring as a condition of the state of emergency that all non-essential vehicles remain off the roads to allow our first responders, public safety and emergency management personnel to respond to any emergencies. Further, we ask that all emergency routes be cleared of vehicles so that the plows are able to clear the snow from the streets and wherever possible please park your vehicles in your driveways or off the roads to help our plowing efforts”.
  • Council Meeting for tonight has been cancelled.
